Hey, thought I post another card tonight. I really love this card. I took this digi image and then added some stickles to add some sparkle. I die cut it up 3 times with spellbinders dies. I then took this great plaid paper, from Michaels (recollections) and then sewed a strip of purple on with pink thread. I took this nice soft coloured pink ribbon and made a bow. I added some flowers, a brad, and a leaf to embellish it more. I made this sentiment on MS word to get similar colours and a playful font. I like how it turned out. I really like the brown matting I used, it helps the brown come out and give dimension to this card.
Hey! I just love have summer'ie and bright and cheerful this card ended up being. I started out using this Recollection papers from Michaels. I love the honeycomb paper! I sewed it to the pink checkered paper. Then I took and die cut a pink loopy border using the MFT loopy border die cut. I then took this picket fence die, also from MFT and had it going across. I took this great image and layered it up with spellbinders 3 times. I popped it up using pop dots and then added some bling. I added this great bee from Martha Stewart and then some flowers, a brad, and this sentiment. The yellow ribbon banner is also from MFT. I'm going MFT crazy! The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp banner set I recently bought!
Hey everyone, I'm back from vacation. It was a nice trip but I'm so glad to be back! For this card I used this wonderful CC Designs image and then coloured her up and then used some stickles to give her some glitz. I layered her with some spellbinders dies. I took this blue/green flower paper and then sewed some pink checkered paper to add some real zesty colour. I then layered this MFT die loopy border on top. I then adhered the card mat to the black card base. I love how the black makes it pop. I added the sentiment I love summer, and attached it with brads. For this pinwheel, I made this out of the paper I had left over from the card. I really like how it turns out and then I added it with a brad so it could spin. Lastly I added the pink bling to add more colour to the left side of the card.
Hi all! One of my last posts before I am off on vacation! I love this card so much!!!! I used papers from the magazine Cardmaking. They usually give a freebee, and some of these papers are from that set I got with the magazine! I took the flowery paper and then sewed some polka dots down the card. I adhered this to a cream coloured card stock. I added some rich redie-pink ribbon to help that stand out. Then I adhered it all to a nice greenie-blue cardstock. I used this great stamp from Penny Black and then layered it up with spellbinders. I added some sparkle with some stickles. I used this banner/die stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped the "So sweet" in a lighter blueie-green colour and inked the banner around the edges a bit. I lastly added a flower, a blingy brad, and this great pinwheel element with a gem to finish up the card.
Hey everyone. I wanted to thank all my followers for following my blog. It means so much to have people support you and love what you do! I hope to continue to put up new posts that you all like. I'm in the process of making a few new cards before we go on holidays, so I hope to post a few before we leave!
For awhile now I have sold cards on ebay and off my blog. I used to have a website, but when I started blogging I decided to just have some blogs instead of ebay. I have opened up an ebay store. I think it will be fun! I still have about 250 products to sell and I'm always making more. I enjoy making cards and albums for people. As some of you know, I am the mother of two autistic boys and they keep me pretty busy. When I need some down time, that is when I scrapbook! Anyways, thanks to everyone who is interested in my cards and albums I make. I am thinking of moving this blog to my other blog www.koscraps4u.blogspot.ca I'll send out a post when I plan to do this. Anyways, thanks everyone for stopping by!
Hey everyone. Thanks for stopping by. I made up this cute crab card. We all know someone who is being crabby right, so why not give them a card that is funny and gets the point across lol!!! So I took this image and cut him out (I wished now I would have around his legs). I layered up some distressed papers and sewed a brown rectangle onto the card. I wanted to make our little crab pop off this card, so I used brown tones in behind. I added some red ribbon and then adhered it all to the kraft card base. I added the crab, sentiment, and bling to finish this off. I really like how it turned out!
Hey everyone. I am still laughing at this card!!! I took this great paper and sewed a strip of this western paper to it with black thread. I then added this great ropey twine around three times and then made a bow. I adhered it all to the card base. I cut out this bull image and popped him up with pop dots. I added this golden sherif star! Love that. I added this great sentiment and really it is true, don't take any bull from anyone!!! Lastly I added some gold bling to keep it balanced with the golden star! I love this card, such a manly looking card, yet fun.
Hey! I started out embossing this purple paper and then carefully inking the raised portion a bit with purple ink. I then layered it onto to black cardstock and then wrapped this ribbon around and made a bow. I then adhered it all to the white card base. I like that the black gives this card some dimension. I layered up my lamb image with spellbinders ovals. I added a couple flowers,/brad, bling, and this sweet sentiment to finish it up.
Hey everyone, I love this great image and I think it could be given for twins, a boy or a girl. There is enough of blue and pink in this card to be a good duo! I love this flocked paper. I sewed the white/blue polka dot paper to it and then ran the pink ribbon around the card. Then matted it first to some pink card stock and then adhered that all to the card base. I added this mirrored heart, which I think it cute for a baby card and flowers/brads, a leaf, and lastly a sentiment.
Hey everyone. I love this great image of the dad and child out fishing. Looks relaxing! I took this brown paper and stamped these gears around the edge and then sewed this greenie blue paper to layer it up. I took the image and used spellbinders to layer it up. I added twine, a button, and some bling to embellish it up more. Lastly I took and made these "D A D" letters on MS Word, printed them off and then used a circle punch and punched them out. Then I layered it with a larger circle in behind. Then I used my copics and coloured in the middle of the circles to match the blue colour from the image.
I started out embossing this blue paper and then I inked the embossed areas with a darker blue ink. I placed the ribbon and made a bow with this polka dot ribbon. I added this sentiment using spellbinders dies. I took this image of these lovie owls and layered it up with spellbinders. This card didn't take long to do and it striking as the embossing really looks great and the bow adds a nice touch.
Hey all, I thought I would do something a little different. I thought I would use some thicker materials. I used this coloured cardboard and sewed this yellow paper to it. I then added some more layers including this "book" like element. I added this western sticker and made it into a tag and added a golden eyelet. I added some hemp twine and then adhered the whole thing to a black card base. I added a flower/brad and some bling and a few stickers on the inside of that book to finish it up.
I love this old paper line by Bo Bunny. I took this great striped paper and sewed on this brown paper with dots. Then I took this cute bear image and die cut it with spellbinders. I added these flowers/brad and this golden key (joules) and added it to the card. I stamped this great sentiment by Amy R (cc designs) and embossed it. Then made into a tag. I then added some brown bling and finished it up.
What fun these corset images are. I won them at a challenge last year and I use them all the time!!! I took this image and coloured it up with copics. Then I added some stickles to add some sparkle. I layered it up with spellbinders. Then for the background, I used an embossing folder to emboss the dots and then I took some light pink ink and just inked the dots. I then took this cool strip, (which I think is K & Co paper) and sewed it horizontally to the mat. Then I adhered it to the black card base. I added some flowers/brads, bling, and the Oo la la sentiment to finish it up. What fun!
Hey, I made up this silvery western card. I really like it! I started up using this paper line, not sure what it was, but I remember it was something "manly". I added this strip of stripe and sewed it vertically on the card mat. Then I put this silvery rope ribbon (which I love!!) and added it to the strip. I then adhered the whole thing to the card base. I then took this great horse and layered it up with spellbinders dies. Then added the flower/brad, sentiment, bling, and silver buckle to finish it up. I just love how this looks - it is different compared to the "brownish" western cards.
I love this owl card I made. I'm not sure what paperline this is, but I really like how colourful it is. I started out by matting up my base and sewing it to the green mat. Then I did the same again with the smaller square and first adhered the blue to the green, and then sewed the whole mat to my larger mat. Then I adhered it all to my black card base. I took this adorable owl image and layered it using spellbinders die cuts. I added some twine to add some interest. I added a flower/brad, sparkly heart, and sentiment to finish up the card. The sewing really stands out on this card and I really like it.
Hey, I love this horse digi stamp and I used copics to colour it. I think it turned out great! I took this woodgrain paper and sewed a striped strip down the card. I then took the horse image and then layered it on top of a couple of bingo pages, I believe Teresa Colins paper-line. I Added this gold ribbon and then adhered it all to the black card base. I added some flowers/brad, horse shoe element, and bling to finish this up. I like the layering of this card. Typically you see so many square backgrounds on cards, but I don't like doing that. I like using a few little bingo cards and sewn elements to add my layers. I sure loves horses and find them to be excellent when making a male card!
Hey, how is everyone! I thought I would put up one more posting for the day, maybe two! I made up this card using this great velvety paper. I believe the paper line was lush, but I'm not sure. I'll check on that one. But I took some red paper and using a paper punch by Martha Stewart, I punched the one side. Then I sewed this to the velvety paper mat. I then wrapped this golden/green ribbon around on top of this red strip of paper and then made a bow. I adhered this all to a green piece of cardstock and then adhered that to the white card base. I took this wonderful rose image and layered it up onto the of the same coloured card stock as I used in the green base on top of the white card base, so it would match. I added these 3 high flowers. Then I added the "Thinking of you" sentiment by Amy R, cc designs. I inked some red around the edge and added it to the card.
Hi! Thanks for stopping by! I just love embossing folders. They are one of my favourite things to work with. I used this one by Tim Holtz. I like it's look, that it isn't completely full of dots, but mostly dots, if that made sense! I embossed this blue paper and then inked a different colour blue on top. I like the look. I added this nice black/white dots ribbon and made a bow. One of my nicer bows I have made too :) I used this great butterfly image and layered it up with spellbinders. It is a pretty image. I added some sticker sentiments (inspire and happiness) and a whole lots of flowers, brads and leaves. I really like how it all came together, this card could be given for a variety of occasions.
Hey! I made up this baby card, it is so sweet. It could be for either a boy or a girl! I started with embossing some white paper with the dots - embossing folder from cuttlebug. I love these dots. One of my favourite crafty items to work with is these embossing folders. They add so much, without adding colour. It is quite unique. I then added this wonderfully silky ribbon and wrapped it around the dots cardstock I just made. I adhered this to the main card base. I die cut this wonderful image and then layered it onto the same colour as the main card base. I also die cut a few clouds and used pop dots. I like the way this looks. I added some flowers/brad and this sweet sentiment. I lastly added some bling that matched the blue colour to tie it all together!
Hey, here is another western card. I love this image of this horse, what an incredible illustration! I layered it up with spellbinders and then I did lots of layering and some sewing. I didn't keep anything straight which added some interest to the card. I used this "documented" paper line. They colours really worked for a western theme. I used this great gold ribbon and used it and made a bow for the horse to sit on. I added some bling and this tag with sentiment "Life is good!". I like how this came together and it wasn't straight, so something a little different!
Hey! I just love this background paper. This card would work well for either a boy or girl with the small bit of pink you see in one of the squares. I sewed a small mat in behind and then layered with spellbinders this image of this sweet little bear. I added this ribbon and bow with this wonderful American Craft ribbon. I love their sheer ribbons. Lastly I added some bling and the letters to spell out "baby". This was a quick and easy card to make, but looks detailed with the big bow!
Well I'm back with more owls. I just love them, they are really cute!! Lots of sewing going on in this card. Firstly I did lots of layering and sewing. I found this great dots paper and tried to match it up with other papers in my stash. I used this owl image and die cut it with spellbinders. (The tag is also spellbinders dies) I layered it all up and added a few flowers/brad, and this sparkly heart! Lastly I added a little bit of bling to finish it up and the orange fibre on the tag to match with the other oranges in the card. This is a great card for someone expecting a little one, yet it isn't too "baby-ish!"
